Over the past few decades, art and tech have become increasingly intertwined, and while the latter has often been a medium for art, it has also served as inspiration, allowing for a more human interaction between machine and man.

‘Achtung’ is an ode to one of the most advanced vehicles today, the BMW i8, a mechanical beast that has taken giant strides towards innovation and efficiency. The elevation of the original form with the use of gears and layers of mild steel is symbolic of both the complexity and the aesthetics of this pioneering car. After an iterative design process that includes human drawing and computer-aided drawing, the hand-assembled artwork is imparted a rusted finish, creating an antithetical abstraction of the muse’s sophistication.
