DROMAD

There isn’t a human society on Earth, however primitive or high-tech, that doesn’t have a history of animal imagery. Human fascination with animals is so ancient and so widespread, that it one of the few universal cultural traits that our species can claim.

The dromedary, the Arabian camel, is coveted for its lightness of being, temperament and training that make it a swift and smart dweller of the desert. Through the animal’s morphology, ‘Dromad’ is yet another exploration by the Studio in abstraction through human and machine-based drawing, as well as layers and depth. The gears and levers of sleek metal reflect the complexity not just of the artwork, but nature itself.
