Philosophy has long explored the emergence of the whole from the part, and the necessity of the part without which the whole cannot truly be anything apart from mere noise.

Inspired by the strata, ‘Skaar’ is an elongated fluid form, abstracted into low, polygonal faceted aluminium. Crafted through a highly disciplined design and manufacture process, the multiple angles and bendings are individual artworks that come together to create the lamp. The striking, forceful realism of being a fragment of a larger entity is representative of the emotions, desires and intuitions that come together to become one individual.
